Colonel Williams Guilty Plea to Murder

Edward Prutschi discusses colonel Williams guilty plea to murder.

Thousands of illicit photos that Col. Russell Williams took of women wearing girls lingerie illustrate how his sexual obsessions turned into sexual assault and murder, a Belleville, ON court heard. The former commander of the Canadian Forces pleaded guilty to all 88 charges against him, including two counts of first degree murder and two counts of sexual assault and forcible confinement. Williams, for the deaths of Jessica Lloud and Cpl. Marie-France Comeau, faces an automatic sentence of life in prison, with no possibility of parole for at least 25 years. Corporal Marie-France Comeau was a Trenton air attendant under his command. Both of the victims were asphyxiated.

The sexual assault charges stem from a twin home invasion in September 2009 close to Williams cottage in Tweed. In each instance the sleeping women were attacked at night time, blindfolded and tied to chairs. The sexual assaults were photographed by Colonel Williams.
